A 15 year old kid has used satellite imagery and some really clever research to predict the location of a Mayan city. In particular, he read the Dresden Codex (one of only 4 remaining ancient Mayan books) and found Mayan constellations in there, then matched those up with the locations of known Mayan cities, found a star that didn’t have a known city corresponding with it, and then predicted there would be there. Satellite imagery looks like it’s backing up his prediction, but we won’t know for sure until someone goes and checks in person! Will you be the first to see this lost city?
